Diana to Release New EP this December

Spaces Between Shadows is the latest release fromViolinist and Composer Diana Yukawa.

The Extended EP, features new tracks as well as the pieces performed on this years festival circuit.  A limited edition signed CD release is scheduled for 18th December 2015 with only 1000 signed copies being made available.

Wilderness 2015

One of the summer highlights for me was playing keys and electronics for Diana Yukawa on the Wilderness stage. A beautiful Friday evening in August and a gorgeous sunset made this a truly magical and memorable event. I contributed a specially written track to The Dark Outside 2014. The was the third Dark. Outside. radio broadcast of music that nobody has heard before, playing for 24 hours to an audience of wildlife and humans. Took place at Galloway forest on Saturday 27th September 2014. I couldn't make it (again) but it was great to submit a track to be played alongside some truly great artists. See who took part here.

Morphzilla UI

After months of recording and editing hours of audio, planning, website development, Morphzilla is very nearly ready. It's sounding amazing and I can't wait for you to hear it. The next step is to get the library prepared for distribution, demo's and some final tweaks on the new website. It's been a long time in development but it's definitely been worth all the hard work. 

Micromorph 2 will also be out at the same time and will be free update if you already own the original micromorph. More wonky samples and patches in this release together with a new GUI.

Also, to coincide with the new website and Morphzilla release, there will be a Free miniature version of Micromorph 2 available for you to try out.

MORPHZILLA UI

This is my most ambitious Kontakt library project to date and I really can't wait to share this with you. It's already developing into a bit of a monster but I want it to include more unique sounds and I would like to invite you to contribute sounds to be included in this new library.

Following on from where Micromorph left off, Morphzilla aims to provide more tools to develop unique sound patches. Field recordings, found sounds and other sound oddities from my sonic adventures have been processed to create a palette of wonky and often beautiful textures to create a mixture of organic and non organic sounds. Combine, twist, morph and automate to stretch the possibilities of this unique library and create infinite* sonic patches. Includes dusty pads, nasty impacts to beautiful textured soundscapes and more. 

But this is just the start - edit the sample start of each sound, reverse and morph the samples in each menu independently, then combine and crossfade these using the modulation wheel. One patch and 2 sample menus holding over 300 unique, organically cultivated and beautifully sculptured sounds. 

Although these sounds will sound great out of the box, there aren't really any preset patches in here - It's ready and waiting for you to delve in to the simple user interface and create unique instrument patches for each project. This will sound like no other sample library you own - morphing between music and sound design, it's dark, twisted and nasty but also uniquely beautiful too. If you a little bit fed up with preset sounds and want to create something a little bit special for your projects, then this library is for you.

After a few months of research, recording (and late nights), here it is - Micromorph - a small Kontakt library of broken, sculptured, bent and demolished samples, based on field recordings, broken circuits and other sound oddities. It's unique, wonky and imperfect, delicate and nasty.
